The Wapato Nippons was the first Japanese American team in Yakima. On the back of the photo is written, "Presented to Mr. Migita" and "Wapato baseball team" in Japanese.

This is a picture of the Yakima Valley Wapato Nippons baseball team, which formed in 1928. The first Japanese-only baseball team in the Yakima Valley. They were teenagers and farmers. The Wapato Nippons won the Mount Adams championships in 1934 and 1935.
