Sansei female. Born October 16, 1937, in San Francisco, California. During World War II, removed to the Granada (Amache) concentration camp, Colorado. Family briefly left camp for Utah before voluntarily entering the Topaz concentration camp, Utah, when mother was pregnant. After leaving camp, returned to San Francisco and resumed elementary school.

During World War II, removed to the Tanforan Assembly Center, California, and Topaz concentration camp, Utah. After leaving camp, family lived for a time in Weiser, Idaho, running a farm. Eventually returned to California.

Nurses and doctors, also of Japanese ancestry, administered inoculations. Evacuees were later transferred to War Relocation Authority centers for the duration.
