Nisei male. Born June 4, 1921, in Seattle, Washington. Following the bombing of Pearl Harbor, removed to the Puyallup Assembly Center, Washington, and the Minidoka concentration camp, Idaho. Left camp to attend college in Cincinnati before being drafted. Served in Japan with the Military Intelligence Service, and eventually returned to Seattle.

Nisei female. Born December 1, 1935, in Seattle, Washington. During World War II, removed with family to the Puyallup Assembly Center, Washington, and the Minidoka concentration camp, Idaho. After leaving camp, resettled in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Spent many years raising a family and teaching in Japan before eventually returning to Minnesota.

Nisei female. Born August 3, 1920, in Portland, Oregon. Lost father at an early age, and mother and siblings set up a family farm and greenhouse business. During World War II, removed to the Portland Assembly Center, Oregon, and the Minidoka concentration camp, Idaho. After leaving camp, returned to Oregon.

Incarcerated at Puyallup Assembly Center, Washington, and Minidoka concentration camp, Idaho. Refused to participate in the draft and was imprisoned at McNeil Island Penitentiary, Washington, for draft resistance. Resettled in Seattle.

Nisei female. Born February 8, 1920, in South Park, Washington. During World War II, incarcerated at the Puyallup Assembly Center, Washington, and Minidoka concentration camp, Idaho. Resettled during the war to Salt Lake City, Utah, and returned to Seattle after the end of World War II.

Ni-ten-gosei (half Nisei, half Sansei) female. Born June 3, 1932, in Seattle, Washington. Incarcerated at the Puyallup Assembly Center, Washington; Minidoka concentration camp, Idaho; and Tule Lake segregation center, California. Returned to Seattle after the war and stayed temporarily at the Seattle Japanese Language School.

Sansei male. Born January 22, 1956, in Seattle, Washington. During World War II, parents were incarcerated at the Puyallup Assembly Center, Washington, and Minidoka concentration camp, Idaho. Was General Manager at Microsoft Corporation in the Multimedia Publishing Group before becoming the Founding Executive Director of Densho.

Sansei male. Born May 28, 1939, on Bainbridge Island, Washington. Incarcerated with parents at Manzanar concentration camp, California, and Minidoka concentration camp, Idaho. Returned to Bainbridge Island after end of World War II. President of the Bainbridge Island Japanese American Community (BIJAC), a community organization dedicated to the preservation of Japanese American history on Bainbridge Island.
