Karen Morika for Takeshi and Haruko Yamashita (ddr-ajah-8-4)
In this video, Karen Morioka talks about her parents, Takeshi and Haruko Yamashita, who were both born in Alameda, California. Takeshi was an auto mechanic and Haruko did domestic work. During World War II, they were removed to the Gila concentration camp, Arizona. After the war, they resettled in Madison, Wisconsin and eventually returned to Alameda.
