Bill Hashizume
Nisei male. Born June 22, 1922, in Mission, British Columbia, Canada. Grew up in Mission before moving to Japan with mother and sisters at age sixteen. Attended high school and college in Japan and enlisted in the Japanese navy in 1944. Worked in Japan for several years following World War II, then returned to Canada, choosing to live in Toronto, Ontario. Author of Japanese Community in Mission: A Brief History 1904-1942.
