Dear Molly:

How are you and the rest of the family? O.K. I hope. Barbara and Kenny have the whooping cough but the rest of us are fine. Everyone is getting thinner; especially Barbara—We call her “skinny” now.

I’m sorry I didn’t write about different things to you kids but that was all there was to write about.

I got my annual Sunday. I think it’s pretty good, don’t you? You sure took good pictures. I also saw Belmont’s Delano’s, L.A.’s, and Lincoln’s.

Congratulations for getting to be a yell leader. I bet you there will sure look cute. Katrina told me all about the terrible initiation and the teen G.A.A. banquet and also about you two ditching class twice. I bet you bullied her to ditch with you. I know you, Molly.

Everyplace is being flooded to settle the dirt so grass could be grown. The big empty lots that are flooded look like boys and it sure looks pretty. There is a canal here and a lot of people swim in it— it’s muddy though. I don’t think our so-called swimming pool is even going to be…

…cemented.

I am getting immodest out here because we take showers together, see each other sitting down in the benjo because there are no doors, etc. Almost all the men wear shorts. Yesterday all of us wore shorts. It sure is cool. The people across from us take their beds outside and sleep every night.

We are planning to have a club for girls of high school age. Do you have any suggestions for a cute name? We’d like a French name.

Tonight the Delano baseball team is going to play the U.S. Army. Of course I’ll root for the army.

We’ve seen 3 picture shows so far—“100 Men and a Girl”, “Count of Monte Cristo”, and “Daniel Boone? “That Certain Age” is coming pretty soon.

Well, I guess I’ll close for now. Please give our regards to everyone.

Sadae

P.S. What is Mickey’s address?
