Dearest Molly!

Because you’re engaged, I’m so excited —crazy, but I can’t help it! Just read your letter! Honest, Mol —it’s a thrill —we must all be growing up —My goodness —you’re engaged! I’m very glad —only wish I knew who he is and what he looks like —what kind of a person he is, and —well Molly, he must be swell —he’d better be —oh golly, it’s swell!

Glad to hear Miyeko and Mrs. Sasaki had the opportunity to go back. Well Molly, I guess I’ll be content with De Kalb and Chicago for another year —I’m attending school —majoring in English and my minor is Speech. It’s a Teachers’ College, but I’ve enrolled as a special student —an so have to pay about $50.00 more than a regular student per year —bet it’s worth it! Say, what is your ambition —aside from being married? Care to let me in on it? As for me —I don’t know yet Molly —only a freshman.

My folks and Kaz are still in camp. Molly, I hate to brag, but Kaz really blossomed out —guess she’s the pride of the family. Dad is weak and can’t do very much —

How is Joyce Washington? I haven’t heard from her for quite awhile —hope everything is getting along smoothly for her!

It’s 1:p.m.—better sign off—

Will write again

Bye now–

Love,

June

My regards to your Mother, Kenny, and Atoy!
