Dear Molly,
Howdy stranger! What’s new? How’s L.A. treating you? I am just fine, thank you. And you? Hope your bubblin’ with a thing called health! My オネサン (one-san) is in Chicago. Yep, she’s in the ‘windy city.’ I gather from her letters that she is okay. Going to business college and working after school for room and board. What school do you plan on entering?

So I heard, they sure seem to work men, and women too, at defense plants. Well, don’t overwork you-self so you’d get sick tho’—I’m back in ole Manzanar Hi School. More fun! Guess what I done took! Dramatics! You think I can act? I, personally, say “NO.” Oh well, there’s nothing like trying…………..
When did Clara Davis get married? Gosh, I didn’t know that. So many people are tho’—Give me a good 10 years before I attempt…

…to join the ‘sacred group.’ I wouldn’t be surprised if you do soon, Molly………. By the way, what are you planning on taking in college?
In the case of the kids working part-time and going to school, do they have school closed in the morning or afternoon or is it opened all day?
Bet there isn’t much traffic congestion eh? By the way (here I go again with that word~) how does Boulder St. and Folsom St. look? Have you been up near…

…our joint? Bet everything’s all changed. Well, I hope the war’ll end soon, and hope we can go back tho’ after graduation, I expect to join Michi in Chicago. Member Fumi? Well, she’s going out yonder to Chicago or Ohio, so’m I.
Well, guess I’ll call it ‘30’ and hope you’ll write soon.
Just,
Nobie
