Dear Mollie—

Before a month is up since you wrote. I hasten to answer your letters. How’ve you been? Studying hard?

I usually spend part of Sunday catching up on my correspondence. Since my brother arrived I’ve been off my regular routine. I’m trying to get back on the beam now. T’was…

…swell seeing him again but sure made me homesick to hear about everyone & everything. I had hoped to go back for Christmas but couldn’t get away from work so I was stuck.

I’m still working at the same place & like it a lot. But things are getting to be a master of routine & wish that something exciting would happen to break the monotony. Oh, we go to shows & have a lot but you can’t see much in that can you? We went to see Cab Calloway & his orchestra last nite. Sure was good!

Can you suggest something we could do over weekends? What ‘dya do with your beau? Maybe Los Angeles has more things to do. When you get to know Minny —its; really a dorky town…

[back]

…I heard about Miyeko being in L.A. from another friend who accidentally met her at [Nikolo]. She hasn’t written me for ages so I really don’t know much about her. I wished I could bump into her sister one of these days. There’s plenty of Rooseveltians & “Boyle Heighters” Remember Choo choo Tsujimoto? (He’s in khaki) I saw him around with a Mexican girl. There’s plenty of soldiers around ‘cuz Fort Snelling is so close.

I’ll call it “30” for now & do write. Love to all,

Just,

Mary
