Dearest Molly—

Hi— Happy Birthday. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year too!

Imagine —I just received your package today. It certainly was sweet of you to remember me. Just on time for my birthday too. I feel awful that if what you say is true, you haven’t received any of my letters. The last letter I wrote you was exactly a month ago. Did you get that —come on —you owe me a letter.

How’s come you used my very very old address I’ve moved three times after that & I wrote you from each address. Either the mailman is cheating us or something’s wrong. Now that clears it up…

…I hope. Am I forgiven?

Kuki is over now & he says hello—I’m writing this cause I just received the package—you see even Mrs. Rees didn’t do anything about forwarding the package and Dr. Rees brought it over. I even had an old card brought over today —isn’t it terrible —I sometimes wonder if she keeps any of them. Who knows? Remember that old card you wrote in June? I didn’t get that until August —Such is life I swear.

I hope you spent a nice Christmas & New Year. I certainly had a grand time. Of course with my beau here. Last Christmas he came all the way from St. Louis…

…but this year he is right in St. Paul.

I just heard from Alice Snauders (she lived next door) and she’s been married a month now. When is your wedding bells asounding —huh? Not quite yet. He’s fully pledged now & completed his internships so maybe some results aha —not a bad idea. Uncle Sam hasn’t called him in yet.

Well, this is about it for today & please forgive such a delay or whatever you call it. Please note my new address. I’m sharing an apartment with a friend of mine. There’s a chance for us to go back to L.A. once again & I’m certainly looking forward to that. Hope to see you soon. Love to your folks.

Always,

Mary

P/S Didn’t I send you a pic of me? If not tell me & I’ll do that & you do the same.
