Dear Molly,

Well, schools out for you now ha! What are you planning to do all summer? Golly, that’s really nothing cooking over here. Day and night I stay cooped in ‘cause it’s so hot. You see we have a home-made cooling system on our window and that sure keeps us cool. You forget the heat until you go outside to either the mess hall or to visit “Ben & Joe.”

Baseball games are held practically every night and by sitting on my porch I can watch it so it saves me the trouble of going on the hot field. They showed “Count of Monte Christo” last night but I didn’t go ‘cause you know I saw that once and I didn’t like…

…it. Last week they showed “100 Men and a Girl” and I went. But after seeing a picture once, it isn’t fun to see it over. Of all things —they would pick on pics I saw already though I do to shows so rarely.

They’re working on the swimming pools already and the schools too. But I don’t even know where. Boy, this place is so big I haven’t even gone through half of it. I attend church regularly and I sure enjoy it. They have a “Sinspiration” every Friday and it’s fun. We all get together and sing choruses from hymn books and community songs.
