NINE ISLAND NISEI IN ARMY, SURVEY SHOWS

HUNT, Ida., Wednesday, July 21--There are nine Bainbridge Island Japanese-American citizens who have volunteered for service in the United States Army, a survey at this relocation center showed today.

The nisei who are now in uniform, preparing to defend the country of their birth, are :

Staff Sergt. Hisao Nishi, Sergts. Nabo Okazaki and Taketo Omoto, Tech. Corp. Harry Yamashita, Corp. Momoichi, Nakata, Privates, first class, George Terashita and Masaharu Yamashita and Private William Okazaki.

Nobuko Sakai, Winslow, has returned from the hospital after having recovered from an operation.

Visiting their families here recently were Tosh Sakai, Morio Terayama, Kimi Suyematsu and Kay Chihara.
