FUNERAL HELD AT MINIDOKA FOR T. OKAZAKI

HUNT, Ida., Wednesday, March 24--The funeral of Tokuzo Okazaki, 68 years old, a resident of Winslow for 21 years, who died of a heart attack, was held Saturday, at the local Minidoka Church. Island pallbearers included I. Katayama, O. Koura, and Y. Suyematsu.

TWO LEAVE FOR FARM

As a part of the W.R.A. relocation program and the agriculture program, Noburu Oyama, son of Mr. and Mrs. K. Oyama, and Mitsu (Lefty) Katayama, both of Winslow, left this center Sunday for Pocatello, Ida. The boys will work on sugar beet and potato farms.

OMOTO, YAMASHITA VISIT

Two Islanders of the Nation's armed forces paid visits to their families this week. On fifteen-day furloughs are PFC Setsuo Omoto, son of Mrs. M. Omoto, Wing Point, and Masaharu Yamashita, son of Mrs. M. Yamashita, Winslow, from Camp Walters. Mr. Omoto was one of the first inductees on the Island. Furloughs could not be granted to American-Japanese to visit Manzanar, where Island families were for the past eleven months, since it is in the Military Area.

Rev. Tsutomu Fukuyama, 28-years old, son of Mrs. T. Fukuyama, Winslow, is the Young People's Minister of the Minidoka Federated Church here.
