Five Island Japanese Boys Break Camouflage Net Mark

MANZANAR, Calif., Wednesday, August 5--A crew of five Island boys broke all records here last week when they made 14 camouflage nets in one day.
The boys were Arthur and Tony Koura, Manzanita; Toshio Chihara and Satoru Sakuma, Winslow, and Yosh Suyematsu, Port Madison. During the entire week they produced 17 nets over their quota to win top honors with an efficiency rating of 157 per cent. A crew is required to make five nets a day.

EX-ISLANDER JOINS CAMP
Mrs. K. Iwasa, formerly Yoshie Nakata, and Dr. Iwasa, Salinas, Calif., joined the Nakata family here this week. Mrs. Iwasa is a '31 graduate of Bainbridge High School and was graduated as a nurse from the Columbus Hospital, Seattle. The doctor had his office in Salinas.

ISLANDERS LOSE TWO
The fifth-place Bainbridge Yankees lost two baseball games this week but did not drop in the standings. Morio Terayama was a 5-to-1 pitching victim last Saturday. His pitching record is seven victories against eight losses. Gerald Nakata dropped to second in the league batting averages. Ichiro Nagatani, George Okazaki and Nob Oyama were the only other Islanders to bat above .300.
