MANZANAR, Calif., Wednesday. June 10--Bainbridge High School's 13 graduating seniors in this Japanese relocation center will meet the "challenge of the circumstances here... by applying what we have learned," Sumio Yukawa, Island Center, told fellow members of his class in commencement exercises here Friday night.

The program was the first of its type held here and won much attention in this camp of 10,000 evacuees. It was featured by mailed speeches of P.F. Ruidl and Roy G. Dennis, Bainbridge superintendent and principal, respectively, and by presentation of Bainbridge diplomas by Roy Nash, camp manager.

An incidental feature was the arrival of copies of "Spartan Life", the school's annual, which had been autographed by students remaining on Bainbridge Island. This thoughtfulness won the heartfelt thanks of the Japanese-American seniors here.

Sponsored by the Bainbridge Japanese-American Citizen's League, the exercises were presided over by Ichiro Nagatani, Island Center. Robert Koba, Winslow, read the speeches of Mr. Dennis and Mr. Ruidl.

A survey showed that most of the seniors hoped to continue their education.
