Item--Daily newspapers continue to refer to evacuated Japanese-Americans as "Japs."

Comment--Therein lies most of the fault for the failure of some people to even imagine that some persons of Japanese ancestry could be loyal to the United States. In one breath, the dull-thinking big copy editor writes a headline calling our vicious enemy a "Jap" and in the next he uses the same hateful "Jap" to describe a perfectly loyal American citizen. We suggest copy editors try using that thing that keeps their ears apart.
