To My Friends:

Being unable to thank each of you personally, I wish to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to all of you who so kindly gave me your patronage in my years of business on the Island. In the years to come, I shall always remember the friendships I have formed through my association with you.

Business will continue as usual at the market but under a new management. My only hope is that these new people will receive the same kindly welcome that has been tendered me.

Hoping that a quick victory will enable me to return soon, I am,

Sincerely yours,

JOHNNY NAKATA
