TAKE IT EASY

It is our personal opinion, backed by absolutely nothing official, that Japanese and Japanese-American citizens of this Island, should not be in any rush to sell or otherwise dispose of their business interests until officially directed to do so.

For a dime a dozen, you can hear all the "inside dope" on just when and how the evacuation order will be made. For about the same price, you can hear more confidential talk that there may be exceptions made to the wholesale order.

Personally, we're just listening to this kind of talk and then forgetting it. This problem of evacuation is a serious one and is in the hands of the highest officials of our Army. Their decisions will be the only official ones.

So, it is our personal recommendation that persons who may be affected by the evacuation order when it comes, especially persons with business interests, would do well to "sit tight" and act only when an official order has been given them by the proper authorities. It is our opinion that this government will not force such a speedy departure that business men will not be given ample time in which to dispose of their interests. To be alarmed and pushed into a hasty action by "talk" would not be wise.
