TSUKASA SAKUMA PAYS YULE VISIT TO HUNT CAMP

HUNT, Ida., Thursday, December 30--Tsukasa Sakuma, Winslow, visited his parents from Fort Collins, Colo. He left this center early this year for Marengo, Ill., where he was employed [employed] on the farms of the Curtis Candy Company with his brothers. He enrolled this fall at the agricultural college in Colorado and came here during the Christmas vacation.

Six more men volunteered in Hunt last week for the special language school at Camp Savage, Minn., where they will study to become interpreters for the armed forces. This raised the Hunt volunteers to Camp Savage to 42.

The Harvesting on the center farms was completed for 1943, proving that sagebrush land can be made productive. Approximately 1000 acres were cultivated and will be increased in 1944.

Visitors recently were Yoshio Katayama and Keto Okazaki from Mesa, Ida.
