BAN ON ALL JAPS URGED BY LEGION

WENATCHEE, Aug. 23.--(AP)--The American Legion closed its annual convention here yesterday with a resolution urging the expulsion of all Japanese from continental United States as soon as the war is won; the selection of Bremerton as the next convention city, and the election of officers.

Henry Wellstandt of Dayton was elected state commander. George Bunday, Oroville, was elected Eastern Washington commander, and Roy O'Hara, Bremerton, Western commander. H.E. Tudor, Naches, was chosen chaplain and Leo Weisenberger, Wenatchee, state historian.

The auxiliary elected Mrs. W.T. Hail, Spokane, president; Mrs. W.R. Ladie, Seattle, first vice president; Mrs. H.W. Mende, Kelso, second vice president; Mrs. Howard W. Post, Seattle, historian, and Mrs. W.J. Scott, Okanogan, chaplain.
