7 Japs From Rioting Camp Held in Jail

Phoenix, Ariz., Feb. 1.--(AP)--The Department of Justice has taken seven California evacuees from the Japanese Relocation Center at Poston Ariz., to be held for trial before an enemy alien board.

The arrests, said H.R. Duffy, agent in charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Arizona, were made on "emergency authorization" of the United States district attorney for Arizona.

Neither Duffy nor Frank E. Flynn, district attorney, would comment on the arrests.

Last November, a rebellious group overthrew the civil government of one unit of the Poston center, which houses about 18,000 evacuees, and through a reign of terror shut down all activities inside the unit.
