JAPANESE EXCLUSION ACT IS AGITATED
Local Organization Hopes to Interest Union Labor in Movement and Civic Bodies as Well.
The Japanese-Korean Exclusion League at its meeting last night named a committee of six members to push the work of the league among the labor unions of the city. It was shown that Japanese were gradually supplanting white labor in many industries in Seattle and all labor unions will be urged to unite in an active campaign against Asiatics.
A member of the San Francisco league will be here to address a meeting in the near future and every effort will be put forth to insure the passage of a Japanese exclusion act. The next meeting is planned to be a rally gathering and it is hoped to have delegates from every union in the city in attendance. Later, an effort will be made to interest civic bodies, as in San Francisco, where a membership of $7,000 has been drawn from the labor unions and civic bodies.
