Japanese Sought For Beet Harvest

DENVER, Sept. 18. -- (AP) -- Recruiting of Japanese workers for sugar beet harvest work was started yesterday at the Heart Mountain Relocation Center near Cody, Wyo., and the Granada, Colo., center.

Joseph H. Smart, regional war relocation authority director, said workers would be available to Colorado, Montana, and Nebraska areas after governors of the states and community officials have certified that the Japanese will be welcome and that law and order will be maintained.
