11 Jap Camps May Be Self-Supporting

WASHINGTON, June 29.--(AP)--How the War Department hopes soon to have set up 11 self-supporting communities populated by approximately 130,000 Japanese was disclosed today by the House appropriations committee in approving a $70,000,000 allotment for the War Relocation Authority for the year starting July 1.

The permanent relocation centers will, when finally set up, have populations, ranging from 7,000 to 20,000. Their residents will engage in maintenance and operation of the centers and will be employed in War Relocation work corps.
