First Tacoma Japs Leave for South

TACOMA, May 18. -- (AP) -- The first contingent of Japanese to be evacuated from this city rolled out of the Union Station by train yesterday afternoon for Pinedale, Calif. The train carried 418 evacuees and a baggage car full of personal luggage.

The remaining Japanese, estimated at about 450, were scheduled to leave late today for the same destination.
