California Japanese Warned to Report

SAN FRANCISCO, April 25. -- The wartime civil control administration tonight warned some 1,850 Japanese in two Northern California evacuation areas to report to civil control stations Monday and Tuesday for "processing."

The notice covered civilian exclusion order No. 23, involving Solano County's 1,000 Japanese, and order No. 24, affecting 850 Japanese in designated portions of Contra Costa, San Joaquin and Alameda Counties. The Japanese will be evacuated to the Turlock assembly center by noon, May 3.

Registration began in five areas yesterday, and six others today.
