Watanabe, Ace Husky Netman, Will Miss Trip

Because of wartime restrictions on the movements of Japanese, Frank Watanabe, veteran No. 3 on the University of Washington tennis team, will be unable to accompany the Huskies on their road trip, which starts Wednesday.

Coach Ken Raby said today he would hold elimination matches to decide who would take his place.

Japanese are not allowed to travel more than a given distance without a permit, under existing regulations, and no permits are being granted for athletic travel, University officials said.
