Jap's Plea Accepted In Registration Case
WASHINGTON, April 22. -- (AP) -- Tsutomu Obana, secretary of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce at San Francisco, pleaded nolo contendere (no contest) today to a charge of conspiracy to violate the Foreign Agents' Registration Act, after withdrawing his original plea of innocence.
Justice T. Alan Goldsbourgh of United States District Court said he would accept the nolo contendere plea.
