Jap Evacuees Sought For Work on Farms

PHOENIX, Ariz., April 16. -- (AP) -- Recommendation that Japanese evacuees be made available for agricultural labor, to relieve a serious shortage, was made to the War Department today by the state War Board of the Department of Agriculture.

Earl Maharg, secretary of the Arizona Farm Bureau Federation, proposed that the Japanese work under Army supervision.
