Jap to Be Arraigned On Curfew Violation

Charged with violation of the recent curfew imposed on Japanese, Hideo Saiki, 27-year-old Japanese farmer in Bellevue, was held in the city jail this forenoon, awaiting arraignment before United States Commissioner Harry M. Westfall.

The complaint, filed by Assistant United States Attorney, Gerald D. Hile, accuses Saiki of visiting beer parlors near Sixth Avenue South and King Street, Tuesday night. The Japanese was arrested by Patrolmen F.O. Robbins and L.L. Brown and booked at Police Headquarters at 9:54 o'clock Tuesday night. The curfew requires Japanese to remain in their homes after 8 o'clock.
