Pay For Evacuated Japanese Protested
Los Angeles, March 27.--(AP)--Drastic cutting of wages to be paid Japanese evacuees was demanded yesterday by a Veterans of Foreign War's post, which asked the President and Congress to end the "unjustified generosity."
The post, Lincoln Heights No. 768, pointed out that evacuees' security wages, ranging from $50 to $94 a month, are higher than soldiers' pay.
