LABOR UNIONS OPPOSE JAP NATURALIZATION

Bellingham Council Deplores "Foreshadowed Destruction of the High Value of Suffrage" Now Enjoyed.

BELLINGHAM, Friday, Dec. 14. -- The Bellingham Central Labor Council went on record last night as unalterably opposed to the naturalization of the Japanese as recommended by President Roosevelt in his annual message to Congress.

The granting of American citizenship privileges to the Orientals is deplored as foreshadowing the destruction of the "high value of suffrage" now enjoyed by the people of this country.

A copy of the resolutions will be forwarded to Senator Piles and Representative Humphrey with the request that they notify the Washington Congressional delegation of the council's protest.
