L.A. Defense Council Seek Japs' Removal
LOS ANGELES, Tuesday, Feb. 10.--(AP)--The County Defense Council is preparing for submission to Army, Navy and Department of Justice officials a recommendation that many Southern California Japanese be removed to the Rocky Mountain sugar beet fields.
Harold J. Ryan, county agricultural commissioner, urged that a Japanese policy be established quickly to prevent undue delay in the planting of vegetable crops. Americans can plant the crops, if Japanese are removed, he said.
