Lower California's Japs Moved Inland

ENSENADA, Mex., Friday, Jan. 16.--(AP)--As a wartime precaution, agents of the Mexican government have transplanted nearly all of Lower California's 2,000 Japanese aliens to the interior of the country.

Eighty Japanese are being kept under close watch here and at nearby Sausal to help operate the fishing fleet.

Officials estimated that the peninsula's evacuees left property worth about $1,000,000. It will be taken over by the government for the duration of the war.
