Canada Forbids Fishing by Japs

OTTAWA, Tuesday, Jan. 13.--(AP)--A Canadian government order today prohibited persons of Japanese origin from fishing in Canadian waters or serving on Canadian fishing boats. The order was announced by J.E. Michaud, minister of fisheries.

Some 25,000 Japanese live in Canada, nearly all in British Columbia. Many of them have made their living fishing. The order followed closely a conference on the Japan problem here in which Dominion officials conferred with the British Columbia standing committee on orientals.
