Japanese Alaskan Arrested by U.S.
KETCHIKAN, Alaska, Friday, Dec. 12.--(Passed by censor)--Authorities today held a prominent Japanese business man of Ketchikan, said to be a reserve officer in the Japanese army and a relative of a Japanese general.
Officers refused to comment on the arrest. It was understood they had no direct evidence that the Japanese was un-American. He was among Japanese residents who pledged their support to the United States this week.
