LIGHTS ON; FOUR JAPANESE FINED
Four Japanese, who refused to turn out lights during yesterday morning's blackout were convicted of disorderly conduct by Police Judge William F. Devin in Police Court this forenoon. Two other Japanese forfeited bail on disorderly conduct charges.
Y. Matsukawa, 61 years old, cafe owner, and Kagner Tochihara, 61, cook, who were arrested at 419 Sixth Ave. S., by Patrolmen E.C. Scully and G.W. Christy, were fined $15 each and were given ten-day jail sentences, suspended.
Satssaki Nakagawa, 60 cook, 413 Sixth Ave. S., was fined $10 and his wife, Mrs. Tanaye Nakagawa, 45, was fined $15. Both were given ten-day sentences, suspended.
Y. Suzuki, 53-year-old manager of an apartment at Ninth Avenue and Howell Street, and Kamei Seijoro, 69, an occupant of the hotel, forfeited $50 bail each.
