William C.H. Lewis (left) deputy administrator of defense savings in Washington State, and Earl T. Ross (right) field representative of the defense-savings staff of the Treasury Department, yesterday congratulated Kenji Ito, president of the Seattle Chapter, Japanese American Citizens' League, for purchasing a $500 defense bond in behalf of the league. Ross told Ito he hoped the league's fifty-six chapters on the Pacific Coast will follow the Seattle chapter in purchasing bonds. He also urged league members to buy defense savings stamps as well.
