JAPANESE FOUND NEAR ARSENAL

DAVENPORT, Iowa, Wednesday, Sept. 9. -- (AP) -- A man and a woman who gave their names as Nobuzana Tsunura, 29 years old, of Denver, and Miss Toniye Yanari, 22, of Platteville, Colo., were held today for investigation by Davenport police.

They were taken into custody this morning on Forest Road, Davenport, directly across the Mississippi River from the Rock Island Arsenal. A camera, which police said was found in their possession, was turned over the Col. G.A. Gillespie, commandant of the arsenal, for examination.

No charges have been filed against the couple.

Colonel Gillespie declined comment until the arsenal laboratory completes the examination of the film taken from the camera.
