Clarence Arai Is Elected to Head Japanese League
Clarence Arai, Seattle attorney, was announced today as new president of the Seattle chapter of the Japanese-American Citizens' League.
Other officers, elected at a meeting at Collins Fieldhouse Thursday night, are Tura Makamura, first vice president; Saburo Nishimura, second vice president; Hannay Kosaka, recording secretary; Toshio Kukano, corresponding secretary; Jiro Aoki, treasurer, and Takeo Nogaki, board delegate.
Plans were made to entertain 1,500 members of the Japanese-American Citizens' League from other cities, when a national convention is held here in September.
