THREE DETAINED ON ALIEN LAWS
Three men were held in the county jail today in lieu of $1,000 bond each on charge of violating immigration statutes.
They are Mashichi Uyeda, 34-year-old Japanese, accused of perjury in filing [filling] out immigration papers; Edwin Joseph Lingwood, 46, Canadian, charged with reentering the United States after deportation, and Dan Van Der Oelsnitz, 34, German, also accused of reentering this country after deportation.
Each of the men pleaded not guilty when arraigned before United States Commissioner A.C. Bowman, and were bound over to the federal grand jury.
