Alien Land Law Cases in Arizona Are Dismissed

By Associated Press.

PHOENIX, Ariz., Saturday, Dec. 22. -- Alien land law complaints naming fourteen defendants were dismissed yesterday by Superior Judge J.C. Niles on motion of the county attorney.

One complaint listed seven Japanese as defendants.

Another named two Japanese, E.A. Marshall, American, and the Marshall Mortgage & Trust Company as defendants.

The motion to dismiss was based on insufficient evidence to prosecute.

In trial of another alien land law action, Judge Niles granted a defense motion for dismissal of three defendants.

The various cases grew out of recent efforts of white farmers to drive Japanese farmers from the valley.
