23 Aliens Arrested On Border Sentenced

Twenty-six aliens, arrested along the border during the past four weeks, were arraigned before Judge E.E. Cushman in United States District Court today. Twenty-three of them were sentenced from thirty to days to four months in jail whereas three of them, who pleaded not guilty to illegal entrance, will be arraigned in court the first Monday in October. One of them, a Japanese, Hirosho Matsumoto, did not speak English and an interpreter was called. He pleaded not guilty.
