JAPANESE WOMEN MAY ENTER

The Times Special Service.

WASHINGTON, D.C., Thursday, Nov. 5 -- Rev. U.G. Murphy of Nagoga, Japan, is in consultation here with immigration officials here relative to the admission of Japanese women to Pacific Coast ports. Many of these women coming to the United States become servants, but recently alarming reports were sent to Japan that the United States government is refusing admission to all women.

Commissioner-General Sargent explained that under restrictive measures adopted to prevent the importation of women for immoral purposes recently instructions were issued to immigration officers at Puget Sound ports to take photographs of all Japanese women, and to see that they are not permitted to follow an evil life.

In case of a violation of the law, the man claiming to be the husband of the woman will be prosecuted by the department of justice and the women will be deported.
