Japanese Embassy Confirms Report Immigration Will Be Curbed.

WASHINGTON, Saturday, Dec. 20. -- The Japanese embassy today sent a brief communication to the State Department stating it had made an investigation of the "picture bride" practice and that as a result of this investigation it had been decided that for "the promotion of friendly relations" between the United States and Japan the practice would be stopped.
