Honolulu Judge Admits Man Who Served in U.S. Army.
HONOLULU, T.H., Monday, Jan. 20. -- Four hundred Japanese who enlisted in the United States Army immediately may apply for and obtain citizenship in the United States, according to a ruling made here by United States District Judge Horace W. Vaughan. Judge Vaughan Friday granted citizenship to Sachi Shimodo, a Japanese, who enlisted here, after naturalization had been refused by W.H. Ragsdale, naturalization examiner.
United States Attorney Huber will make a test case in the federal courts of the granting of citizenship to Shimodo.
