STRONGLY INDORSE ALIEN LAND LAW

Real Estate Concern Declares Measure Would Do Much Good.

Editor The Times: If the alien amendment does not carry in this election we will continue to shut out millions of capital. This money would come here for investment, improvements, labor, building material and taxes if the present law is changed.

Business men, bankers and others know of millions of dollars that have been turned to other states because of the harsh restriction that is still in force. For the good of the whole state it should be changed at once by voting "yes" in the coming election.

We, the undersigned, strongly indorse the measure. Many voters are not aware of the facts, the mere important of which are:

1. Only one constitutional amendment is on the ballot.

2. Our last Legislature passed it by a two-thirds majority, and it now goes to the people for approval in this election.

3. It would enable resident citizens of other countries to own property in our cities. It prohibits their owning farm property. Enemies of the measure are attempting to confuse the term "municipal corporation" with "county." Let no one be alarmed. The law interprets itself in its title, where the word "cities" plainly appears.

5. The federal restriction keeping out undesirable immigration will still be in force.
