WILL TRY TO ANNUL JAPANESE LAND LEASES

First Question of Ownership Will Come Up Before Snohomish County Court.

EVERETT, Saturday, April 8. -- Attorney-General W.V. Tanner arrived in Everett last night and today will argue for the state before Judge Black in the superior court a question involved in an effort of the state to set aside a deed to land owned by S. Sato, a Japanese, in the restricted district of this city. Under the state law Japanese are not allowed to own lands, and a suit was instituted here to annul the deed involving this property, state being a party to the transfer.
