Nisei Seek Ban On Segregation
WASHINGTON, April 28. -- (AP) -- The Japanese-American Citizens League yesterday urged abolition of segregation in the military forces.
Mike Masaoka, national legislative director, presented the organization's views to the President's committee on equality of treatment and opportunity in the armed services.
"We believe," he said, "that segregation creates and foments distinctions and antagonisms between groups, destroying that harmonious relationship between troops necessary to achieve victory."
