Jap Repatriates to Start Home Soon

NEWELL, Calif., Oct. 30.--(AP)--Return to Japan of voluntary and involuntary Japanese repatriates will begin at an early date, possibly by November 15, officials of the Immigration Service announced today.

Ivan Williams, officer in charge and speaking for the commissioner of the Immigration and Naturalization Service, said a detail of men from the Department of Justice yesterday began a survey of the Japanese detained at the War Relocation Authority Tule Lake center here. The survey is expected to be completed within two weeks.
